GLOBAL TELEPHONE PRESS CONFERENCE

ANTI-WAR UNIONS HOLD GLOBAL TELEPHONE PRESS CONFERENCE
to present an
INTERNATIONAL LABOR DECLARATION AGAINST WAR IN IRAQ

WORKERS AROUND THE WORLD SAY "NO" TO WAR!

Ten days ago, U.S.Labor Against the War (USLAW) circulated an antiwar
statement to the leaders of labor federations and major unions around
the world.   Response to it within the international labor movement
has exceeded all expectations.  Organizations representing tens of
millions of workers across the globe have signed on.

On Wednesday, February 19th at NOON Eastern Standard Time (in the US)

USLAW will conduct a global telephonic press conference to make the
declaration and its signers public and to report on labor anti-war
activities around the world.

     This telephone press conference will involve the media and
labor leaders from --

    *    Britain                 *    Pakistan
      *    Australia           *    Germany
      *    Korea                  *    South Africa
      *    U.S.A.              *    and elsewhere

It will be broadcast in real time by streaming audio on the World Wide Web
so that anyone with Internet access can listen in.

Use the link below or paste the address into your browser to listen
in.  After the press conference has been concluded, a recording will
be archived at the USLAW website  (www.uslaboragainstwar.org).  The
main language of the conference call will be English.  There will be
an interpreter on the line to translate the remarks of those who
speak in Spanish, French and Portuguese.
